Cream Kettle
Every home should have a tea kettle. Cordless electric tea kettles can be used at home or taken to the office. They boil water faster than traditional tea kettles and you can easily store them in cabinets. If you want a cream kettle, you can find plenty on the Internet, provided they’re cream in color and not manufactured by a company called Cream. If it exists, it’s very hard to find indeed.
A Google search of the term “cream kettle” yields results for all brands of cordless tea kettles from Dualit to Breville to Morphy Richards to Elgento to De’Longhi, all cream colored. Most of them look like coffee percolators with a modern twist. Amazon UK has one of each brand. There’s a Morphy Richards 43046 Essentials Jug Kettle for £35,63 ($55.59).
On the Amazon US website, you will find numerous cordless electric tea kettles, but not necessarily a cream kettle. If you don’t mind stainless steel or black or candy apple red, then you’ll do just fine. They have name brands like Cuisinart, Hamilton Beach, Breville, Proctor Silex and Aroma. No Cream. The Hamilton Beach candy apple red kettle sells on Amazon.com, as of January 2011, for $29.88. It’s cordless, shuts off automatically, has a water level window and a drip-free spout.
If there is a company called Cream that manufactures cordless electric tea kettles, it’s well hidden, to say the least.
A kettle is a necessity in every home, especially if you like drinking tea. If you want to find a Cream kettle, good luck. But if you just want a cream kettle, then you might be able to find what you’re looking for somewhere on the Internet.
