Dualit Kettle

Not everybody is a coffee guzzler; some prefer sipping a nice cup of tea, made with water boiled in a Dualit tea kettle.

The Dualit kettle, specifically the Dualit 72460 Cordless Jug Kettle, is a 12-cup (1.5 liter) capacity kettle that works great for people who don’t want to boil the water for their tea on the stove. Whether you use a gas or electric stove, the Dualit kettle will help you save money on utilities. With its rapid boil feature, the Dualit kettle also works well for people with limited time … or little patience.

Other features that may appeal to you are the water indicators on either side, the large, non-drip pour spout, hinged lid and the heat proof handle. It’s made out of stainless steel with black trim. If you like the old fashioned look of percolator coffee pots, then you’ll like the look of the Dualit kettle. Its design is reminiscent of a rotund coffee percolator. Before you decide to go out and buy one, you should know that Dualit kettles are not cheap.

The best price you can hope to get for a Dualit kettle is a sale price that – as of January 2011 – is just under $100. In most other places, including discount stores, like Target, the price ranges from $103 to approximately $110. Without any product reviews, it’s hard to say whether or not this kettle is worth the money. Wherever you decide to buy your Dualit kettle, make sure you know the return policies, just in case it disappoints. If you want a Dualit, but don’t want to pay over $100 for it, there is the dome jug kettle, also cordless, which looks like a traditional tea pot and sells – as of January 2011 – for $59.99.

If you like to sip a nice cup of tea and want to conserve energy, you might want to consider buying a Dualit kettle. The price may be high, but it boils faster than a traditional stove top tea kettle and you can store it almost anywhere.
