Filter Kettle
When you boil water for tea in your electric kettle, you want the water to taste good. Most – if not indeed all – electric kettles have filters to make the water in your kettle taste better. The filter in a filter kettle is removable.
Brita, for example, makes the Brita Acclario Water Filter Cordless Jug Kettle, which is on sale on Amazon.com in the UK. The kettle received mixed reviews. Two reviewers appreciated the fact that the Brita Acclario makes water taste better. One person who gave a negative review said that the water dribbles down the side of the kettle when you pour water out, that steam leaks through the handle and that when the kettle is half full, boiling water spits out through the spout. Other negative reviewers complained about the water leaking down the side of the kettle when pouring. Brita isn’t the only brand of water filter kettle on the market.
Morphy Richards also makes several water filter kettles that use Brita water filters. They can be found easily on the Morphy Richards website. For example, the least expensive model sells for £29,99 ($47.69). It has a 1.5 liter (50.7 ounce) capacity, filters and boils at the same time, has a replace cartridge reminder and it shuts off automatically. For a perfectly delicious cup of tea, you can’t go wrong using a water filter kettle.
The Breville VKJ097 Brushed Stainless Steel Brita Filter Jug Kettle can be purchased through Amazon.co.uk, though not, it seems, through the Breville website. It boils quickly, has a one liter (1.06 quart) capacity, it has a 360 degree base, and it boils and filters at the same time. It sells for £59,99 ($93.59).
It’s pretty common for tea kettles to have filters inside, but if you specifically want a water filter kettle, then the Amazon UK site seems to be the best place to find them.
